What to do when you are worrying

What to do about anxiety (1).png

Fear leads to worry because worrying feels like we are doing something. But that worry makes us not able to think, not able to make the best decisions.

Overtime, worry can become a looping habit, so even when the danger passes, we are still worried about it.

What can we do? Build mental resilience. It is the equivalent of immunity for your mind. Here's how:

1.) Identify what you get anxious or worried about. (Don't worry about why.)

2.) Ask yourself: What am I getting from this? Help your brain understand if there are any rewards for worrying. (There probably are not many or any. Let your brain notice that.)

3.) The next time you are feeling anxious, take a breath or notice you feet on the ground, then bring in something more rewarding than the worrying. Try being curious or having kindness for yourself.
